Weekly reservations, on a Saturday to Saturday basis in the nine Vacation Home Cabins  and Cabins (Log Cabin, The Point, Summerbreeze, Riverview, Hideaway, Bayport, Secluded Shores, Reflections & Shifting Pine cabins) are the norm in June, July, and August, and the most of September, unless there is a “last minute” vacancy, then a partial week reservation is an option.

Partial week reservations in the Villas (Birchcliff, Aspenwood and Stoneridge Villas) and Chalets (Sunrise, Evergreen, Windsong, and Ledgerock Chalets) may be rented by the week, partial week, and overnight.

For your convenience, reservations may be made Online and by Phone. Phone reservations offer an opportunity to discuss the vacation options available, answer questions, and give you a verbal confirmation number. A Reservation Contract Form and verification of your reservation will be emailed and hard copy sent via US mail following the phone reservation.  An email Reservation Confirmation will be sent following an online reservation. An “initial” non-refundable deposit of $100-$500 (dependent upon accommodation(s) reserved), payable with your Visa or M/C Credit Card will “hold” your reservation. Credit card is debited upon receipt for a non-refundable advance deposit.

The balance of the 50% Deposit via personal, business check, or bank certified cashier’s check, and a signed Reservation Contract Form, is required within 7-14 days after a phone conversation to guarantee your reservation.

We reserve the right to retain the “initial” deposit and cancel your reservation if the Reservation Contract form, and balance of deposit is not received by River Point per the due date indicated.

Upon receipt of the balance of deposit check and Contract form, a Confirmation of your reservation and a Guest Folio indicating the Balance of Charges to your reservation account, and the due date will be sent to you.

Prepayment of the Balance of Charges on accommodation rental, equipment rental, and services reserved must be paid in full 45 days prior to the starting date of your reservation (exception: group rentals or multiple week rentals must be paid 60 days prior) in the form of personal, business check, or certified bank cashier’s check.

Single night and short stay accommodation reservations, along with corresponding waterfront equipment reservations (boats, motors, pontoon boats, canoes, etc.), and reservations made less than 45 days prior to the arrival date are paid in full at the time of the reservation with either a Visa, or Master Card credit card. Credit cards are debited upon receipt for a non-refundable advance payment.

Additional persons and services determined at registration will be charged accordingly.

FYI: A 6% resort fee assessed on all lodging and boat and motor reservations supports the complimentary high speed internet service in accommodations, incoming faxes, abundant supplies of split and stacked firewood for wood-burning fireplaces and the three outside fire pits, twice weekly “Courtesy Call” to replenish items, such as TP, coffee filters, trash bags, light bulbs, etc., and in-room welcome basket gift.

Resort fee also supports marina and waterfront assistance including complimentary fish cleaning, maps, stringers, landing nets and minnow buckets in additional to use of sit-on-top kayaks/playaks, paddle boats, paddle boards, and instructional canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding. New guest sauna, hiking trail, two swim rafts, and more are provided for further enjoyment.

Gratuities for resort service personnel including housekeepers, marina and guide service, and Wild wood Lodge staff are at your discretion.

Reservations will be held until 7 pm on arrival day. Please call to notify us of an arrival later than 7pm, as River Point’s Office is not open 24 hours daily. Arrangements will happily be made to accommodate your evening arrival and directions to your accommodation will be sent with your Reservation Confirmation for possible later evening arrivals.

In the same good faith that we guarantee your reservation, you are responsible financially for the full rental period reserved, the number of persons for which you reserved, the accommodation(s), and all reserved equipment and services.

There are no refunds for reduction in party size, equipment/services reserved, nor for any portion of the arrangements made for you that are not actually utilized by you due to your change of plans, weather, medical reasons, air line travel delays and cancellations, etc. Nor are there any refunds for late arrivals, “no shows”, or for early departure.

Cancellation Information: In the event that you must cancel your reservation, a written Notice of Cancellation must be received. Deposit and/or prepayment are refunded ONLY if we can, in good faith, re-rent your reservation for the same time frame with a new reservation. A $100 processing fee per rental unit reserved will be retained. If we are unable to re-rent your reservation, you are financially responsible for the full amount of the reservation and will be billed accordingly, with payment due upon receipt (unless prepaid). There are no exceptions of any kind, including medical exceptions, air carrier delays/cancellations, or weather related cancellations.

Travel insurance is available and may protect you against circumstances that may cause you to interrupt or cancel your trip. We strongly suggest checking into traveler’s insurance. Unexpected things do occur that can delay, interrupt, or cause a cancellation of your vacation due to circumstances beyond your control. River Point does not sell travel insurance, but can recommend carriers, such as Travel Guard Insurance, Stevens Point, WI, at or call 1.800.826.1300. Another choice is Access America, Richmond VA at 1.800.284.8300.

Damages/Loss:  Guests are responsible for any damage and/or loss to rental accommodation or watercraft and will be held financially liable.

Additional information will be mailed with the brochure packet and Reservation Contract form. If needed, the Reservation Contract form will be faxed or emailed to you.
