Boundary Waters Canoe Trip – BWCA Overnight Canoe Trip
Sample the Boundary Waters Canoe Area with a special overnight Boundary Waters canoe trip. The remote wilderness area of the million acre BWCA sits at the doorstep of River Point and is easily accessible via the South Kawishiwi River. Named one of the “50 Places of a Lifetime” to visit in your lifetime by National Geographic Traveler, treat yourself to an incredible experience made ever so easy with the help of River Point Outfitting Co.
When renting a vacation home, villa, or chalet at River Point Resort for a minimum of four nights or more, you have the option of further experiencing the wilderness at River Point’s doorstep when going on the “Taste of the North Woods”, 2-Day, 1-Night canoe/camping adventure. This package offers resort guests a reduced rate to try wilderness canoe/camping. This is especially fun for families who want just a “taste” of wilderness camping and canoeing. Two great plans offered by River Point Outfitting Co.™ are available.
Option #1: Overnight in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (US camping permit required).
Option #2: Overnight on the wilderness shoreline of the South Kawishiwi River and Birch Lake, which are adjacent to the BWCA, but require no US camping permit. Due to the virtual uninhabited shoreline of these pristine waters, the same feeling of remoteness is yours to delight in, as you would experience in the Boundary Waters. With either option, you will “Paddle the Quiet Side®.”
No US camping permit required with Option #2.
Includes: All equipment – aluminum canoes, paddles, life vests, tent, sleeping bags, stuff sacks, therm-a-rest sleep pads, pack sacks, folding saw, gas stove, cook kit and utensils. Also included are travel maps, a pre-trip routing session and transport to your wilderness entry point (small van transport gas surcharge applies).
