With a private sundeck and private entrance with lake and forest views this Chalet is housed in a large cedar-sided two-story lakeside building.

Perfect For Short Stays or Week Long Lake Time

The Evergreen Chalet is an outstanding choice for those who desire something more than the bed, bath and parking lot of the typical motel in downtown Ely. Hiking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing and boating are intriguing for active travelers. Listening to the call of the loon, watching an eagle soar, and relaxing by a peaceful evening bonfire are thoughtful substitutes for phones, video games, and television found in a typical motel setting. Spend several nights or a week and enjoy all the amenities of lakefront River Point Resort & Outfitting Co.

Active travelers who desire more of an adventurous experience can be outfitted by River Point Outfitting Co. and venture off on an all-natural Boundary Waters wilderness canoe trip for several days and nights. Prior to the canoe trip consider enjoying a comfortable bed along with many other amenities when renting the lovely Evergreen Chalet. A canoe group of up to four people can spend the night or two prior to the canoe trip start date or several nights in the Chalet after the canoe trip and enjoy the many amenities offered at this private resort in the midst of the Superior National Forest and directly adjacent to the BWCA, just 4 paddle miles away.

Named one of the “50 Places of a Lifetime” by National Geographic Traveler, the Boundary Waters is a remote wilderness area stretching some 1.1 million acres across the border of northern Minnesota and Canada.  It’s an amazing wilderness waterway connected by stretches of forested land.

• Lakeview One Bedroom Chalet:  The Ely Minnesota Chalet building is set back approximately 140 feet from the lake shore with a gradual incline to the east shoreline. This affords a relatively easy access to the lovely east marina area which has a 60′ sundeck, flowered terrace, and panoramic lakeview. Great place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, too, in addition to your private Chalet sundeck with dining table and your own Weber gas grill.
  
• Marina, new fire pit area, north beach and playground are easily accessible. The west shoreline of Birch Lake is immediately adjacent.
• Evergreen Chalet is located on the second or upper level of the Chalet Building.
• The one-bedroom Chalet is located on the northwest corner of the building
